USA Today--->“the
initial impact could cause whiplash, but this Panamanian hard rock
band makes great use of subtlety, too, like the layered guitars
and the falsetto that kicks in just when you expect a scream.”
The quartet can
currently be heard in one of the most popular video games "MX
vs. ATV", on the soundtrack of WWE Stone Cold Steve
Austin’s new move
“The Condemned,”
in the trailer for the "Dukes of Hazzard" movie, as well
as on FX's "The Shield," “Amercian Pie: Band Camp,”
and Stephen J. Cannell's thriller "Demon Hunter." Cage9 has
performed on cable & satellite’s G4 "Attack of the Show,"
subsribed to by over 55 million households nationwide.
The band has been
mentioned in Campus Circle, Hits, Music Connection, Skinnie
Magazine and Billboard, as well as in Rolling Stone
(Latin America) where Cage9's last E.P. received a cool 3.5 star
review. From L.A.’s
“World Famous” KROQ
to Phoenix’s KEDJ (where “Hollywood Car Crash” is to be featured
all next week), Charlotte’s WEND to XM & Sirius Satellite Radio;
stations nationwide are featuring Cage9 on their playlists.
Cage9’s Spanish song “Solo Fue” hit #1 on Panama’s top FM
station Radio Mix in February.
Currently serving
as the main guitarist for
Powerman 5000,
Cage9's singer/guitarist Evan Rodaniche landed the band as
opener for PM5K's last big U.S. Tour, playing in both bands
nightly. Cage9 has also gigged with Seether,
Buckcherry, Amy Lee of Evanescence, Scary Kids Scaring Kids,
Ice T’s Body Count, Adema, Cheap Trick, ex-Pumpkin James Iha,
Godhead, Smile Empty Soul and toured from Europe to the East
Coast to Central America.
Already a part of
Universal Music Publishing, Cage9 is proud to unveil
their new LP "El Motivo" with versions in both English
and
Spanish
now available nationwide. Through their
Japanese label BM.3
Corporation
“El Motivo” has sold over 12,000 copies since its release last
January and the album has already cracked that country’s Top 30
in sales! Click

Online rag
Melodic.net says "Cage9 has recorded their Physical Graffiti, an
intelligent & comprehensive modern rock album worthy of a place
in the history books of rock music.” Puddle of Mudd’s drummer
Mark Bistany simply says “this album rocks from top to bottom!”
Cage9, based in
Los Angeles, is comprised of Panama transplants Evan Rodaniche
and Gustavo Aued on guitar/vocals and bass respectively, South
Bay (L.A.) native Jesse Beltz on guitar and most recently,
Gordon Heckaman
of Phoenix, AZ and
Depswa
fame on drums. Evan steers the project as the band’s main song-scaper
and recording-guru whose production and mixing skills have not
only shaped Cage9's sound but that of many other performers from
latin-grammy-nominated Los Rabanes, Atlantic Record's upstarts
Big City Rock, to current Rolling Stone and Spin indie darlings
The Willowz. Bassist Gustavo's lo end rattles the musical
Richter scale and charges up the live show with his own style of
aggression and untethered energy. Jesse's sound and spacey
guitar effects are the perfect complement to round out the
band's stereo attack. Jesse and Gordon are also original members
of the L.A. band Agrokulcher.
The band chose
the moniker "Cage9" after a trip to Europe, fusing the german
word for "no" with "cage" to epitomize the group's no-limits
approach towards creating music...
Cage9's video for
“My Doppelganger” is in full rotation on Mtv Latino and the band
was invited to Mtv's Latin Video Awards in Mexico City in '07
where they walked the red carpet with bands like Juanes, The
Cure, Avril Lavigne and more. The video has also appeared on Mtv
Japan & Fuse on Demand.
